Simply Me

Time is running out...

Another day at university today; this was the last day of my health economics class. I have to say this is my favourite class so far, in fact it's got me wondering whether I should have been doing a health economics degree rather than a public health one...

We'll see what my marks come back like! Who knows I may be able to transfer or even do my dissertation in that subject. The course leader, Helen, seemed keen that I could potentially do my dissertation with them anyway!

I've been to Glasgow quite a few times now, but weirdly I only saw this sculpture for the first time with my sister last week.

This is the Clyde Clock, created by artist George Wiley. It's a sculpture of a square clock on top of running legs outside Buchanan Bus Station. Supposedly there to represent people running for the bus!

The clock was commissioned by Radio Clyde to celebrate its 25th year as an independent local radio station and its asssociation with the local Cowcaddens area of the city. The clock is 20 feet high and is covered in stainless steel. It was intended to be a meeting place and chimes once each day at 8pm - said to be the 'ideal meeting time'.

(Ps no fireworks or bonfires for me tonight, I won't be back from Glasgow until 7ish so I'll go straight home and make sure the noises don't scare Wesley)
