More Power To The Elbow

The monsters weren't too bad this morning.
The Cygnet got up just after 7am (but I am sure I heard him at 6am) - Squirrel was up about half an hour later.
Fruit smoothies and toast for breakfast and then they sat and played nicely for quite a while.
Eventually they wanted to watch TV and settled on an American baking competition show (strange kids). They agreed with me that if you can't pronounce the ingredients properly then you have no right being in the competition...……. Caramel is not pronounced 'Kaarmle' and you do not let 'Limons', yet get lemons!

We also sat and watched the cartoon film "Brave" (well, I did).
Billy Connolly is always a hoot to listen too and it is fun to work out where the views and locations in the film are really based on.

SWMBO eventually got up, but then fell asleep on the couch. This weather is killing her.
She did come with us when it was time to take Squirrel to gymnastics, but she only managed a pot of tea when we went into The Larder - where Derek was in full flow teaching mode …. when he wasn't slugging tea.

I hope the change in the weather that is forecast arrives and SWMBO is okay for H's 60th birthday BBQ tomorrow.
