Lake day

We had music lessons this morning. She tried so hard to hold it together but was exceptionally tired. B was fantastic at damage limitation, adapting to Katie, at making the best of what she could and knowing when to quit while she was ahead. Katie snuggled in the lounge while I had a lesson.

We popped into work for a while before having an afternoon out. Katie had declared she wanted to go to the lake. We made a pit stop at the garden centre for lunch before we headed off. She’d decided she was swimming properly. So, on went the wetsuit and in ran the Katie. She insisted I join her. I ended up going in wearing swim shorts and my shirt! But it really was a fabulous swim. We had such a good time. She was in the water close to two hours.

We stopped for a drive through for Katie and almost immediately put her to bed!
