Diary of an Edinburgher

Festival madness

Kerri and Luke took Archie out this morning, and though rain was threatening, it didn’t eventuate. In fact, the day got quite sunny for a while in the afternoon.

JR went to town for a birthday lunch date with her ex-colleagues, and came home laden with pressies! Archie and I decided to go down town for a look at the craziness that is the Royal Mile in Festival time. We haven’t really got into Festival mode this year, as we were away for the first week of two-for-one tickets, which always gets us in the mood.

There was a bubble man who blew smoke into the bubbles from a pipe, so they were white, like ping pong balls, and exploded in a puff of smoke. Very good.

Archie is SO good on crowded buses, and indeed, crowded streets. He gets a lot of attention and pats, and the dressed up folk are always happy to pose with him, though this cyclist didn’t have much say in the matter. This one is very good.

Back home to do some gentle sofa exercises and watch the athletics.
