Today's the day ……………………… to pick apples

These are some of the apples from a tree costing £3.49 - that we bought last year from a well-known supermarket specialising in the cheaper range of produce.

It must be about eight feet tall now, but it's still in a big pot in the garden.  It managed to produce a total crop of 12, all of which are the proper size for a Granny Smith - and taste delicious.

Didn't it do well ………………………?!
