Birthday Boy
It may not appear so, but I haven't seen this man so happy about a present for such a long time. To add to the joy it is the gift I got him, so we are both very happy. He is not good with technology and will need his son to help him explore his new tablet.
If I remember correctly the stories goes that some many years ago his mother went into labour and was told by the midwife just to sit in the day room it could be a while yet. She talks of playing cards with the other women who all seemed to be in a bit of pain but every now and then she just needed to raise herself off of the seat a little as it was a bit uncomfortable. A while later she produced a hulking big brute. I'm sure she is reminiscing too. It must be odd not to be there for those special days, but we will see her tomorrow.
The boys have decided there is no better way to celebrate a special birthday than to make the journey to St James's Park to watch the Toon in the Europa Cup. Neither have been to a European game before and they are very excited. I get to stay home as there are things to be done for the visitors at the weekend.
Happy Birthday my lovely man x
