Diary of an Edinburgher

Goodbye Wendy

Day Two of the new regime - gym visit. JR came too, as she didn’t manage yesterday. Today I had my fake Apple iPods charged properly, so they outlasted me.

I did a few extra leg and arm exercises, and I tried one that I saw an old lady doing yesterday - she was swinging a big tube thing around and over her head. I could hardly lift it, let along hold it above my head!

While we were at the gym, Wendy was packing up, washing her sheets, towels etc and hanging them out. Very considerate visitor!

Archie trotted off with Isobel without a backward glance, then JR took Wendy down to the bus. Goodbye Wendy - you've been great! This experiment with a house/pet sitter worked well! Perhaps next year...

I took the clippers to Archie and gave him a good going over. He was not happy, poor wee lad, but he just stands there and sighs.

We relaxed in the afternoon and caught up on a few recorded programmes - we've got quite a lot from a month away! Watched Joanna Lumley's Silk Road, a very shouty Question Time, and a programme about New Zealand, though I did doze off briefly.

The long-awaited Building Warrant has arrived! Just need to get a few quotes now...

Archie has forgiven me, and is back to his cuddly self.
