Ella models her new outfit

It was great to see the children and #3 daighter who came bearing lunch. Ella loved her outfit from Amritsar and couldn’t wait to try it on. Nathaniel wouldn’t wear his waistcoat but says he will tomorrow!

Mr C took them to play in the woods but Ella got sent home for bad behaviour so she sat on the sofa and read BFG.

They were still here when S and M arrived. Nathaniel had lots of questions about M’s hearing aid, while Ella needed to know all there was to,know about Aggie their Border Terrier.

t was such a fun evening to have S and M to stay. We had a White Lady cocktail, our favourite. I did a starter of figs, leaves and a melted Roquefort dressing. S brought a bean, leek and chorizo dish and we had stewed apples and blackberries for pudding. Wine was drunk and talk went on till the wee small hours.
