Up The Creek

Our Sunday sojourn took us in search of water to cool off a bit.
We drove into the big scrub (not far from our place) and found a creek to explore.

The water was clear and lovely......the leeches were a source of amazement for the boy......(he thought that they liked him ‘cause they kept trying to follow him) ......Beetle scooted up and down the rocks......and it really was a lot cooler under the big trees.

No matter how idyllic it is.......beautiful blue kwondong fruits mixed in with red and yellow leaves lay underneath the clear running water (I did get pics) there is still the awareness that many biting and slithery things live nearby so not much relaxing was done....and getting a good shot is rather difficult though as I find dappled light is rather hard to work around.

Main thing though.....the boys got to have a good adventure.
