New garden record?
A working day with little time for anything else, although I did manage a quick walk while Alex was at the dentist, which also involved stopping and staring at lichens on stone walls and taking a few photographs. I certainly received some odd looks from passers-by.
We're still trying to add species to our garden list. Pete brought some leaf litter in from the garden, and this chubby little springtail was in it. It's only about 3mm long, so I was quite surprised that I managed to get a reasonably in-focus shot. I'm always amazed at how pretty some springtails are. I think this might be Dicyrtomina saundersi but I'm prepared to be corrected!
