Diary of an Edinburgher

Two dog brunch...

No bike again this morning. Couldnae be bothered. JR took the lads out for a stroll while I lay abed.

Becky and Daniel came to take Archie out. He (usually ) gets a good report from them, saying how well he brought back the frisbee, which we find quite contrary to our experience...

From frequent WhatsApps from his mum, we knew when she was nearly home. She was as keen to see him as he was to see her! What a fuss when she appeared through the door! But Archie joined in, determined that he was included in the joyful greetings.

We did a bit more moving things from the kitchen and bathroom. Just want to get the renovations under way. Sort of.

We invited our neighbour over for a debrief of her holiday in South Africa. She had a fabulous time, and we were so inspired! But then we remembered the extreme hassle JR (a Kiwi) had getting a SA visa last year when we went on safari!! Hmmm...

Off to the hospital to have my knees tested a bit more tomorrow, to find out how 'unstable' they are. It's all happening this week, including kitchen renovations!

I'll miss not having TWO doggie faces watching every single thing I eat! This was my 'brunch' - toasted sourdough (I’d already eaten one slice). Archie adores toast! Not sure if Rufus has ever tasted it.

I've lost interest in 'Les Miserables’ - it's just too - well, relentlessly miserable. Very much enjoying the 'Icons' series. Amazing people - how can you choose between them?
