Red and shiny

I couldn't resist taking a photograph of these little peppers on display in our local outdoor market. They were so bright and colourful!

They are redolent of warmer climes than ours, and they are doubtless warm to the mouth as well. On the other hand, we did manage to get one red jalapeño ourselves, ripened mostly outdoors, as I showed on 16 November. That reminds me that we should harvest the few remaining green ones that are still on the plants that we have moved indoors.
