City Road Basin
Faced with the prospect of a day in 'propeller session' I decided to get my steps in early. I walked to Euston to put my back in left luggage and then retraced my footsteps past King's Cross and stayed on that road all the way through Islington and down City Road to Moorgate.
Walking is far and away favoured method of getting around London. Everywhere I walk, even on routes that I'm familiar with, I find new discoveries. Like yesterday, taking a slightly different route back through Soho, I found a little part I'd never seen before.
This morning, I came across this: City Road Basin. What a place to live right in the heart of London!
The course itself was OK and I was slightly late getting away so I was only able to walk halfway back before jumping on a tube to get me across to Euston and an early dinner at the Exmouth Arms with a friend. And then it was back on the train to Manchester to be collected by the Minx.
