In profusion

We popped down to Acorn Bank to see the snowdrops, but sadly the sun did not get high enough in the sky to bring the flowers out. However, they are still lovely to see in such profusion. The river was high, as a result of all the melted snow - amazing how it has all gone, just overnight. 

Has anyone any advice regarding a camera for my 12 year old granddaughter. She seems pretty keen and does want a 'proper' camera, but I don't want to spend too much in case she decides against it in the end. On the other hand I want to get a reasonable one that she can handle. I am taking her to the camera shop in Sevenoaks in a couple of weeks, so that hopefully she will be able to try them out.
