Archie's new friend
The chaps were here on time and started tearing off wallpaper on one kitchen wall (just doing one). They were supposed to be building the brick wall when the bricks were delivered at 10am. Did the bricks arrive at 10am? No. So the two chaps had several smokos. Nothing they could do.
We had a visitor - a new friend for Archie - Michael - who has just moved to the city two weeks ago, bought a flat, and joined 'Borrow My Doggie'! What a sensible chap. As he works from home, he's available to take Archie out during the week. Brilliant. We made a date for next week, when JR will show him Blackford Hill/The Hermitage. He's new to the area, so doesn’t know any dog walks.
After Michael had gone, I took Archie up the hill while JR got ready for a lunch date. The HUGE pile of bricks arrived, and were in the front garden, (Extra) while we were out.
JR went off for lunch, and was back two minutes later. She'd gone out with a navy boot on one foot and a black boot on the other. She wouldn’t have noticed, but the heels were different sizes.
Archie is coping well with all the comings and goings and banging and drillings and people trooping in and out. He and I relaxed on the sofa for the afternoon. We now have half another half wall, and a stripped kitchen wall. Progress.
