The Beach Walking Trio

Vacation ends today so this was their last morning walk to the beach with Mr. Fun. We put on their harnesses, slipped Chloe's little red sweater over her pink t-shirt, and hooked three leashes to three harness. Then Mr. Fun filled his pockets with "doggie baggies" and my camera; then, they were off and walking.

These little critters love "going" and when they go on walks they "go," so they return exhausted, with empty tanks, and thirsty tongues. They also return a bit soggy. So I get the job of wrapping them in towels and drying and drying and drying. The two Shihtzus get quite wet when they walk on the morning lawns on the way to the shore. Chloe is a little taller so only her legs get soaked. When they walk on the sand, which they did not do this morning, they all get soaked and sandy. So from now on we'll be taking two harnesses for each pup, so we put them in dry harnesses when they get back from walking.

We left the little beach community of Cayucos about 10:30 this morning. The drive to home is approximately 4 hours. The three pups get leashed into the backseat and thankfully they sleep for most of the journey.

We had great getaway . . . six nights, seven days and we're refreshed. Now we're back home in southern California; warming the house has taken the heater several hours; my bags are now unpacked, and we've got a holiday rapidly approaching. So I have some serious getting ready to do.
