....presents under the tree......
Back blip.
Taken at 3.00 a.m. after the staff do.

Got up at 7.00 after less than four hours sleep...leisurely breakfast and then drove to Salford to arrange the transfer of my personal number plate to the new car. When I bought the car I asked the dealer to transfer the number....but the incompetent half wits merely retained it. I tried to transfer it the start of November....but I couldn't because the dealers had applied for and received a new registration document.....I asked for the document but they denied all knowledge...so I had to apply for a new one. They finally delivered the document to me 2/12 months after I bought the car....and the new one arrived two days later!!!!
Guess how long it took me to do the transfer?..............5 minutes. In to the office, handed over registration document, retention document and MOT certificate...."Thank you Sir, please take a seat at the far end of the room and wait to be called".......two minutes later I was called.....""This won't take a minute Sir".....a minute later was handed a replacement tax disc with my personal number on it, a replacement MOT with my personal number on it and a document explaining that the registration document had to be sent away to be altered but should be back with me in four weeks. "Do you already have the number plates made up Sir?....You do? In that case you can fit them to the vehicle as soon as you like when you leave the office. Good bye Sir"
5 minutes!!!! If the useless tits at the dealers had transferred instead of retaining (both of which are done in the same office) I could have had the plates on the car the day after I took delivery!
Drove to Dad's in the afternoon.....100 miles....3 hours 10 minutes through torrential rain, low cloud and six sections of flooded road!
We had a long chat over a meal....not sure we solved anything...not sure we can solve anything .......that's for others to do....but from being very upset at the start he looked a bit brighter at the end.
Got to bed just after midnight!
