Sammy in da Woods

This weather really is awful!! Another crap day of gales, and then the rain started by lunchtime.  It eased for a bit in the evening, but remained dull, misty and overcast. 

Another day working in the museum.  Needless to say, it's been a busy day due to the weather.  I managed a walk with Sammy, and now feet are up.  Watching the news today, and still can't believe folk want Boris Johnson as a prime minister!  What on earth is going on in this country? 

This time of year should be late evening walks, taking advantage of the long summer days, it's getting dark at midnight now, but instead, it's dull, wet, cold and windy.  A night off from the pub, and I wasn't going to let the weather ruin the night, so me and Sammy headed out.  We found shelter in the small woods, although I did get soaked feet.  This was one of the first places I took Sammy, after his arrival to Shetland just over 9 years ago.  Taken at the Loch of Voe.
