The Big Sort Out

We had our new childminder with us today for her first day. Graciela is from the Rioja region of Spain and is in the UK as she wants to learn English to help her with her career in architecture. She was recommended through a group of Mums on Facebook in Chorlton as she had previously been childminding for another family in the area but they moved to Canada.

I was a bit nervous about her as unlike Gemma she doesn't have experience with babies. But she seemed OK. I think I'd have to be close by for my own paranoid state of mind when she was looking after Audrey though (having said that she is babysitting tomorrow night as my husband and I are off out into Manchester for a rare evening but Audrey will already be asleep if all goes to plan).

Whilst we were training Graciela, we (mainly my husband, actually) took the opportunity to have a good chuck out. There is something about Christmas that makes me want to rid my house of clutter. We were ruthless - books, DVDs, out of date jars of food, tat...it all went. We felt much better for it too!
