Splash of colour

Who can resist the beauty of roses - whether as cut flowers in a vase or a bouquet, or freshly growing in a corner of the garden?
Suddenly, in the last few days, seemingly in the wake of lots of rain and then a few days of sunshine and warmth, these have emerged from tiny buds to a full scale picture.
But then, I have always been a fan of roses, and prompted by this display today I am tempted to add more to the garden.
