View from the bottom of the garden

Well despite finally giving in to sleep at 10.30 pm, James was up at first light raring to get in the pool. My arm had been troubling me in the night as i’m trying to stop the oramorph so I was very tired - the whole house had to wake up as the ceilings are high, the floors are tiling and all the rooms give off onto a huge central hall.

The children Spent most of the day in the pool, wearing lots of cover-up gear as sun protection. Thomas is an excellent swimmer, especially underwater, and he and Ella played all day diving down to pick stuff up from the pool bottom. There is a small pool too, less deep so Nathaniel and James played there. For a while I had to be Granny shark and they were baby sharks, but once they grew up I could get out.

It was a lovely chilled day, despite the heat. James was asleep at 7.30. Hurrah and hope I’m saying that in the morning as I’ve coped with fewer painkillers, and have had no oramorph since yesterday morning.
