I think the Minx enjoyed having Vic to work with, yesterday, and heaven knows that I was glad they were keeping an eye for each other with that saw, but one of the things that I have learned about the Minx over the years  is that, really, she likes to work on her own.

On the couple of occasions that we have decorated together, there has come a point where I have been gently and politely relieved of my duties. I don't think it's so much that I am bad at DIY - although I am fairly useless - it is more that she knows how she wants the job done and the best way to achieve that is to do it herself.

You only have to look at the portraits and paintings that she has done to see that she has a super-human amount of patience and care. I can see how there comes a point for her where she wants to be left to her own devices.

Here she is, out on the decking, under the tarpaulin that she put up, measuring and assembling. I think she was quite content. I hope so.
