Crow on the Catwalk

From Bremerton, Washington this morning, we went to two different lighthouses. The first had the odd name of Point No Point Light. Two crows were fighting to stay on the top wire. It was quite a battle, so this one had to take a rest.

When we hit the second lighthouse (Port Wilson Light), I had a funny feeling come over me. Even though this is my first time in Washington, I felt like I had been there before. Then, it hit me.

"It's An Officer and a Gentleman! THE MOVIE WAS FILMED HERE! I'll bet my movie-watching reputation on it!" I was right. At the visitor's center they passed out a sheet, describing where all the scenes were filmed. I tried to find the wall on the obstacle course that was in the movie. I was going to make Lisa grab the rope, and pull herself over. "YOU CLIMB THAT WALL LISA! YOU GET OVER THAT WALL! (I guess you had to see the movie to appreciate the reference.)

After the two lights, we headed to Olympic National Park, but at 2 p.m. it started raining, and it rained until dark. We were in the Hoh Rain Forest. HOW DARE IT RAIN IN A RAIN FOREST!

I put four pictures into my Extras. The rough looking light is Port Wilson, the cute light is Point No Point, the beach is Ruby Beach in the rain, and the 4th is just about the cutest fawn I have ever seen.
