Brave boy

So proud of this one, just so proud.

He had to have a minor procedure today, which needed a general anaesthetic.  Despite no breakfast, there wasn't a single complaint about being hungry, and he asked for a drink just twice, even though he was really hungry and thirsty.   He didn't flinch when the cannula  went in, and when he went into the room where they anaesthetised him he also didn't flinch at all.  The only tears were afterwards, when he wanted the cannula out and he had to wait.

It was the kind of day that always opens your eyes a little into other people's lives and makes you realise that some would probably do absolutely anything just to have a dusty house to complain about.

(it's not the kindest picture of either of us, but I was up just after 5 and he had just had his little procedure...)
