Curtains!

Dull picture maybe, but after 10 months in the house, I've got curtains up in the living room.  It didn't matter in the summer, but we kind of need them now.  I made these years ago for the spare room in the old flat, and I'm quite proud of them.  They don't quite fit these window, but I have a cunning plan.... 

Eldest had a report in his reading book that he isn't doing well forming his sounds and remembering his numbers.  It's a bit upsetting as I feel responsible, I'm not entirely sure how to fit in his learning given I collect him at 5pm, rush home for dinner and bed time, desperately trying to get him to bed for 6.30 (it normally ends up as 7pm, which is too late for him).  This evening we did it curled up in bed together whilst the husband read stories to the youngest.  

Kitchen still in utter disarray... beans on toast for dinner, in front of the TV - we can't get to the kitchen table at the moment.  The boys think it's terribly exciting (and great to have dinner in the living room).  The grown up's in the house are finding it a little wearing...
