Growly fun!
JR had her double gym session this morning, I did my bike, as usual, while watching the news on my iPad. Lots of news!
We had a lunch date with a pal, who texted to postpone it, so JR popped into town and took our used coffee pods to be recycled. I decided to take Archie for a walk to Braidburn Park because I could keep my shoes dry on the path. Also, I could stop off for a coffee (and scone) on the way back.
And who should we meet as we entered the park? Trixie and her mum! The dogs mostly ignored each other - Trixie knows Archie is No Fun, but half way round they suddenly started energetic and very growly 'play' fighting. And Archie even did a wee bit of running around, and at one point, he was in front, with Trixie trying to catch his tail. But he soon got too puffed, and Trixie went racing off with a big fast lab. Impossible to get a decent photo, but I quite liked this fuzzy action one.
On the way back through Morningside, I popped into Specsavers to make an appointment for an eye test (haven’t had one for about seven years). They're right opposite the cafe, where a very drookit Archie dripped all over their floor tiles (both places).
While sorting out STUFF the other day, I found an ND filter that I’d bought for my Pentax many years ago, then I changed to my PEN mirrorless camera, and now just use my iPhone, so I popped into the camera shop at the top of the road where I bought it. The owner gave me £20, but I was actually just going to give it to him. Bonus.
By this time the gentle raindrops had developed into persistent drizzle. Archie and I walked up Morningside Road (to the camera shop) and we were drookit.
TWO big games of rugby tomorrow! Now it gets exciting!
