Hawthorn Life Belt
A dull breezy day, and plenty of showers throughout the day.
I've been working on the museum desk all day. The day started with an all day training event in our auditorium. I've been keeping busy with preparations for a new exhibition from the photo archive. Plenty of walkies with Sammy, and then off to work in the pub later.
I had to nip home at lunchtime, and there was a lack of inspiration everywhere I went today. So this is just a quick snap of my front gate. I made the house sign from an old life belt, and given it a new lease of life. It also makes it an easy thing to look for, when visitors arrive for the first time. Taken at Houl Road, Scalloway.
