Messy Play and return of the buggy
Yay.... our buggy was finally returned. Security on the front desk in the lobby brought it up. It makes me wonder if it was hidden in some closet in this building all along! It is a bit odd as there are still possessions left outside other people's doors and in the carpark. Why they chose to confiscate a baby's buggy, I don't quite get.
Oscar and Bailee have made a friend at the park. His name is Victor and they love playing with him. He was chasing Bailee today and she was laughing and very excited about it. Long may the running away from boy's continue!
This afternoon we trailed a messy play class. The twin's have always loved getting their hand's dirty. I have fond memories of our sessions at The Sure Start centre in Datchet and Eton Wick. Oscar eating stale bread, painting with apples and broccoli, pales of baked beans and custard to play in and all sorts of other truly disgusting stuff. For some reason, my two would always come out the messiest. I loved seeing them have so much fun and explore all the textures etc.
The activities today were: painting, shaving foam for tactile play, painting on a large sheet of corrugated card on the floor and making a felt piggy picture. The instructor did nothing to encourage or compliment the children and just spent the time filling up paint pots. Oscar and Bailee loved it though, they were covered from head to toe in paint and shaving foam and were proud of their piggy pictures (And adamant they were for daddy).
Maple seems to be over the worst of her cold today. She has fed with much less fuss in the day, I hope it continues. I have booked her in to see an orthopaedic surgeon as her feet are still turning in quite badly from the arch. Both Oscar and Bailee had this issue too, but one ankle. The doctor's said the turned in feet were a positional problem, from when they were inside my womb. They predicted that the twin's would grow out of it with walking, and they did. I am quite sure Maple will grow out of it too but just want to be on the safe side as hers appear worse.
