‘Twas The Night Before....

....Christmas.
More of a busy day really, Clare’s last shift before a three day break. I had my list to work through so that tomorrow will be hassle free.
House cleaned right through, the dining table, which acts as an office desk for the remainder of the year, cleared, all the vegetables prepared and a cooking schedule written out and taped to the cooker hood.
The evening was spent at our friends, good food and great company, Clare picked up the three of us on her way home.
It appeared that the ‘Star Man’ had been whilst we were out.
Clare’s mother was Polish and the children’s ‘Star Man’ comes from the Polish tradition of a gift on Christmas Eve, not the new ‘Christmas Eve Boxes’ that have recently appeared, this gift is almost always of nightwear, pyjamas etc.

And very fetching they look.
