I see you

I took to boys to Twin Lakes this morning - it's a (very) large 'park' with so much to do there.  Helpfully, it has a couple of large barns with play area's and children's rides, as well as all the outside attractions, so there is always something new to explore. Today's favourites were the outside rides and the climbing frames, although the youngest did complain about wanting to be inside a couple of times.  That said, he's pretty happy clambering about on any climbing frame he can find.

After lunch (they ate almost all of mine!), we went to see Granny and Grandpa as it was Grandpa's birthday.  We had practised singing Happy Birthday in the car and the eldest nailed it when we got there - with a second rendition just before we left.

Made a pair of pyjama bottoms with the eldest just before dinner (finished them when he went to bed, aside from the elastic as I don't have the right size).  It's pretty hard sewing with one child sat on your lap and even harder with two vying for attention.... but we somehow managed it and I just about kept calm.

Belated Christmas present for the husband came through the post - caught for speeding on Christmas day!  Just above the speed limit, feels very harsh.  Unlike his wife, he has never been caught for speeding.
