Wallaby in the Mist!

It was an absolute “White Out” for most of the day and to my surprise this beautiful Swamp Wallaby appeared in the mist and was obviously still looking for sustenance and water.  It just made me realise how devastated the area is and just because we’ve had a couple of days of rain, there is very little food for these creatures.  The grass will come, but not overnight!
I can’t tell you how much of a relief it is to look out of the window and see the mist and to feel cool.  

Mick came this morning with his Bob Cat with the intention of clearing the bushes that we had cut down to make the mini fire breaks.  He didn’t stay long as it was far to wet and he would have made a huge mess if he had continued.  In a way it was a nice problem to have!!
