Creature Comforts

The 2nd March and it did actually feel slightly spring-like today.  The sky larks were singing and there is some blackthorn blossom out.  It is amazing how just tiny changes can make such a difference to the feel of being outside - of taking in the loveliness of it all rather than battling against it! 

I walked to the bakery first thing and then worked from home as I am still feeling flaked out with this cold.  Andy has been busy constructing more of the raised beds - we've three in the garden now.  One more to go.  Meantime, Merlin took a rest with his pheasant who obliged by fulfilling the role of 'head rest/pillow'.
