CannyScot's Day

Up in the mountains

A lovely bright day

We came to the end of our stay at the Hotel and made our way back home, taking a very scenic route round Schiehallion over the Aberfeldy. We stopped just beside the mountain but I felt the best picture was looking back over a small loch towards the more distant hills. My wife carried on, as usual, knitting (or was it crocheting).

We stopped for lunch at the Highland Choclatier in a little village called Grandtully (known as Grantilly) - so many temptations in this lovely shop - but we restrained ourselves!

Once home, we returned to the reality of what the next few months might hold as we are expected to keep our distance from others who may or may not be carrying 'the Virus'. At least we have our grown up children and grandchildren offering all the help we will need.

As for the GP Listening Service I am involved with, we are offering telephone appointments from tomorrow - we shall see how well this works out over the next few weeks. I do feel sorry for all those trying to occupy children now that schools are closing, perhaps for as much as 5 or 6 months (including summer holiday period).

We will get through this - but many will suffer greatly if they lose their jobs or business or even the death of loved ones. Let's hope that people will be kind to one another - and no more stockpiling - or hamster buying as they call it on the continent.
