Here there and everywhere

Lockdown day 9

Posted on 23rd

Trying to make the weekend a bit different to the rest of the week and so today we had steak for dinner, with baked potato, onions, mushrooms and tomatoes.  We don't eat meat every day and certainly not steak.

Bb did a chunk of finishing-up work and here he is in at his desk, in the room where we have the only telly in the house and so on the very very rare occasion when we watch anything on tv, we sit in here.  It's good to have the BBC on in the background those days though.

We watched Dragon's Den at night and good to see a young Fife man get some backing for his pet food project.

WE had a WhatsApp call with a friend in Edinburgh at night to try and persuade her that it's not a good idea to keep going to the office to work as usual.

I thought the First Minister's message on the virus today was clear and to the point and hope people listened to her and took note.  Grateful that a friend in Edinburgh sent us the link to it just after it had been delivered.

Balcony clapping as usual at 8.00pm.  Nice to be able to wave to a few of our neighbours in the passageway too.

We read today that a wild boar had been found wandering on a main road about 20' walk from where we live!  It had come down from the hills outside of Barcelona, no doubt because it's very quiet and few people and little traffic!

I've been amazed to see what communities and individuals have been doing to help keep people connected:  choirs, orchestras, keep fit classes, free classes on all sorts of things.  Humanity is good, given half a chance.
