All gone ?

The snow has gone, all melted away. We had some rain, and some sunshine - and certainly warmer temperatures. Was that the end of it for 2013 ?

Underneath the bird table was a dreadful mess. They had kicked lots of the food into the deep snow on the floor below, and it was all revealed when the snow melted away. I've cleared it up.

Only a very small trickle of feathered visitors today. It's just as well I did the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch yesterday, when they were all still ravenous and making the most of what was out for them in the snow.

This mistle thrush came anyway, looking a little perplexed at the change of scene, and the lack of competition.
