Local Windmill, Etten-Leur 1

Windmill-Hunting Season has formally begun!  Did say that I had been thinking of this for quite a while and it was just a matter of waiting for the moment when it would be safer to venture out.  Not that there were many people outside.  Hardly, in fact.

AW came along for a change of scene.  He even went up to the windmill and read the Latin inscription, but couldn't understand one part, so I helped him out.  The windmill was officially opened for operation by the Bishop of Antwerp, but the First Stone was laid down by one of the local elite (of course) and that was what he couldn't make out -- 'primus lapidus'.  Two extras.

After Etten-Leur, we took one of the long roads back home, first stopping by a DIY warehouse so that AW could buy some manure (bleuh ... but the car did not stink, thankfully), and then to the supermarket and it was his turn to wait while I took advantage of the chance to buy some stuff too heavy to carry on my usual walk -- sacks of potatoes and rice, bottles of milk and syrup, and other smaller items.

Next windmill will most likely be next week.  Wouldn't want to eat them all in one go, now would we?  That is one lesson learned from the semi-lockdown, and that is to take the time to do some things.
