WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Helping Dad

Whatever Frank is busy with Bella is there 'helping' and watching his every move. She watches him drilling, hammering, chopping wood, anything that she thinks he needs a paw with. If we're going to set off somewhere on the boat she watches him get the key then shoots over to the ignition and stares at it while he inserts the key.

This is Frank clearing stuff off the patio which will be finished soon. Our neighbour Michael laid it and it's looking great. I'll Blip it once it's all done and tidy :-)

Frank went to get the click and collect shop this morning from Morrisons and also went to the market for fresh fruit and veg. He forgets about all the veg I am growing. I have grown so much lettuce I don't know what to do with it all and guess what he bought at the market - a big lettuce! He ended up making lettuce soup - never had that before, it's for tomorrow lunch.
He also bought me roses as an early birthday pressie!

Sabrina sends me photos of Amelia and Lucy a few times a week as well as the odd video. Today she sent me a video of little Lucy learning her letters and how to write her name. Up till now she has always been reluctant to even try although she spends all her time pretending to write in her massive collection of notebooks. I think she takes after me for her love of stationery. She is 4 1/2 and starts school in August - well we'll see about that!

I phoned Sue today for a natter and just did Facetime with Tony (brother) and Diane (SiL).

Today my new blue sandals arrived from Vegetarian Shoes! They are footbed ones - like Birkenstocks - but padded and so comfy :-) They will be another Blip on another day.

I cut out more patchwork squares this afternoon. I'm enjoying seeing my stash of cotton fabrics dwinding into a pile of squares which will eventually end up as quilts.

That's all. Have a lovely weekend everyone :-) X
