Diary of an Edinburgher

Plan C...

The castle had disappeared when I took a Archie out in the morning, but it had re-appeared by the time we set off across the Meadows to meet up with Isobel, his erstwhile walker, who has just finished her exams and is off home for a rest.

We met outside Starbucks, which thankfully is open for takeaways now, with plenty of wall space to sit on. Archie was Very Interested in the blueberry muffins, but when he saw I had the camera out, he reverted to his usual pose (Extra). Good boy.

From there we took a walk round town, through the Grassmarket - still hoping that Mary’s Milk Bar will be open - up the big steps and back across the Meadows. (7,437 steps). After a wee sit down, A & JR walked round the long way, while I came straight home. I was puggled.

We sat out in the back with G&T, and by this time it was SO sunny and very warm.

Plan B with the fold up bikes. We have realised that our wee car will not fit two bikes in the boot, folded up or not. Actually, Plan C...
