Diary of an Edinburgher

Vet visit

Archie had his six month check up and vaccine today. The vet came out to the car park to collect him, but he didn’t really want to follow her back in. In fact, I know he can read the signs - he starts swallowing and licking his chops frantically when he realises where we are (didn’t tell him). However, she was pleased with him. She rang me from inside to report back. JR and Archie then walked home.

Yes, thoughts of a new car are being bandied about. This is not new - JR has been tossing this thought around for months, first of all planting the seed, and getting me used to the idea. I have now come round and it’s quite exciting. A small SUV is the preferred type, and we have narrowed it down to three models. Most annoying that car yards here are still shut till the end of the month.

In the afternoon we had a wander round the graveyard. There is an underpass, with a couple of benches, and by the looks of the many empty cans of beer around, it’s a popular spot for, er, drinkers. Or perhaps just very sad people who are visiting a loved one’s grave.

Just had the Very Good News that Mary’s Milk Bar is open again, though just at weekends. YAY!
