Bloomin' Gorgeous!
It was lovely to see the roses blooming on my return home.
Then some of them got battered by the rain but the pink ones and the white ones survived. This one smells divine.
I spent ages looking for bathroom towels on-line this morning. Ours are a bit past their best and can be passed on to Bella May. I didn't want to go into a shop as I still feel wary.
How hard can it be to find towels in 2 colours (charcoal and orange)? Either the reviews were bad eg thin, shedding fluff, dye running, or one of the 2 colours was sold out. Eventually I found some just as I was about to give up.
I washed and tumble dried the new fat quarters (then there's no chance of them shrinking once the quilts are made) then ironed them. I was going to cut the squares today but with one thing and another didn't get round to it so that will be tomorrow's job.
Marc phoned to say he'd avoided being scammed today! He was going to look at a house to rent on Wednesday but the 'landlord' - who had sent him photos - emailed him a lease to sign and asked for £300 deposit.
Marc had an uncomfortable feeling about the man so checked the details of the solicitor on the Solicitor Register and she didn't exist. He phoned the man and asked about the solicitor and the phone went dead! Lucky escape.
RANT - Why can't Boris be decisive about the face mask thing? In Scotland everyone who went into a shop wore a mask. It's no big deal and if it prevents someone from catching Covid it can only be the right thing to do. We went to the market in Skipton 2 weeks ago wearing our masks and a woman without one sneezed right in front of us and facing us.
It's become second nature for us to wear ours if we're out and about where there are other people.
It's been a dull rainy - at times - day and quite cold. We had to put the heating on!
Book and Bedtime.
Covid is still out there - beware.
