Monday: Abandoned Boats

We had no wifi while we were away which was just lovely.  I’m backblipping and will get back on the right day at some point but, for now, I’m going to draw our trip out a little longer.

We started with coffee made on our little camp stove and then took a walk down to the harbour.  Breakfast was a lovely egg and cheese roll from the bakery.

We got our 10,000 steps in well before midday as we decided to walk the perimeter of Gray Peninsula, a very lovely mix of beach and trails.  We had a lot of fun watching a very enthusiastic pup retrieve an endless amount of sticks from the water for its human.

We spent the afternoon reading and then topped off the evening with some drinks and dinner.  We were on a very chatty basis with our site neighbours, a larger family group, so invaded their pitch* towards the end of the evening, clutching a bottle.  I’m happy to say they were very welcoming.

* Just take it as a given that we are mindful of distancing.  I find it sad that we keep having to say that everything was distanced, as if we need to justify human interaction.  So I don’t particularly want to keep stressing it.

Extras added.
