The Princess and the Dog

Let It Go

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

It felt like an slightly stressy day because my brain was in busy mode.

I have worked pretty long hours this week without much downtime at the end of the day. I had a work issue yesterday that I hadn’t managed to fix and annoyingly my brain wouldn’t file it away in the right place* for the weekend.

Which was VERY ANNOYING because I did nice things today but it was always there ticking away: I spoke to you LTJ, met up with Songbird and The Explorer for a lovely walk and cooked with The Eldest Mini Princess for my in-laws coming tomorrow.

At 4 pm, I gave up trying to talk my head down and spent a couple of hours getting it sorted.

Then I had a word with myself about not being a d1ck. I have always had a clear line between work life and home life but working from home has blurred it.

I’m redrawing it with a sharpie for next week. Metaphorically obviously. I’m not going to channel my inner Banksy.

PS Today’s picture is from the inside of the old dovecot in the Hermitage. It is being restored and we were allowed to have a peek from the door.

*yep - b1n!
