2014 more running needed

Gigg Lane, Bury.
Home of FC United of Manchester, which they share with League Two side Bury

The club was set up in protest at the way Manchester United's owners run Manchester United.

It was 1978 when I was last on this ground, to see Carlisle United draw 2-2 with Bury. In those days it had wooden grandstands and standing areas in front.

Today it is a very neat all seater stadium, though the remnants of the old terraces can still be seen.

A final score of FC United 2 AFC Fylde 1 after a disappointing performance, in which we were left shaken if not stirred, made for a quiet journey home.

Tomorrow is another day
