Through the Maize
When Deborah apologized that she was taking us through the maze I imagined complex paths through the woods but no, she meant maize. I think this is a first for me in the Lakes, I'm sure we don't get enough sunshine up here for it to ripen.

Interested to see that Bowness and Windermere have appointed two "Town Marshals" who will patrol on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for the next six weeks to offer advice and assistance to tourists and businesses on how to be Covid-19 safe. There have been complaints from local people about some visitors not observing social distancing, leaving litter and parking inconsiderately.
Pleased to see the Education MInister did a U turn on A Level grades to bring England in line with Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. You would have thought he could have seen the problem coming after Scotland had the same problem a week or so ago. But No, Our lot are arrogant enough to believe they could design an "algorithm" that would do a "better" job than Scotlands. What was wrong with Teacher's assessment. Its left an almighty mess with some courses already full. Did they not think things through.
12 deaths on the new basis ie in line with Scotland- within 28 days of a +ve case. New cases are still on the rise but hospital admissions on the decrease.
