Friday: Spider & Pears ...

... the spider is on the greenhouse door and I was very careful not to damage it’s web and it’s packed lunch!
We’ve got a bumper crop of pears this year thanks to the lovely spring blossom and all the bees https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2693919872475202818 but the beautiful sunshine and dry weather made the ground very dry then we had weeks of rain resulting in the fruit swelling and bursting, same happened to the damsons. I’m going to be patient with the pears and see if we can salvage something when the fruit have matured ...
MrD was on deliveries today, I’d planned on a day out but there was washing to be done ... the weather was dry/breezy so did the right thing!
Moved a few more pots away from the house in readiness for the plasterers.
Cleared branches which had fallen into the garden after my neighbour cut his hedge.
Watched a couple of episodes of “Curse of Oak Island” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Curse_of_Oak_Island
7pm and we’ve just had a very heavy rain shower, hope it’s dry over the weekend!
