WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Water, Water Everywhere!

And plenty to drink! The reservoirs will be overflowing. The fields all around here are flooded as far as the eye can see. During a short spell of sunshine we went for a little walk to view them and take some photos. The trees were up to their branches in water and the sheep had moved to higher ground. It's bucketing down again now.
Last night the rain battered the boat so hard that some leaked in through a normally watertight window frame and dripped on the new sofa which has left some marks :-(
As soon as the wind and rain stops we will turn the boat round so Frank can investigate and fix it - hopefully tomorrow.
Apart from that we're warm and cosy in fact we have the side hatch open just now while we have tea as it is a bit too warm!

I realise how fortunate we are and while listening to that rain last night I couldn't help thinking about those without shelter, adequate clothing and food.
In 2020 this shouldn't be happening.

We did our click and collect and as it was pouring down we just got everything in the car without checking the substitutes. They had given us 6 cartons of sweetened  soya milk. We never buy plant based milks with sugar in. I suppose we could keep it for making custard...
I also told the lady we didn't want the plastic bags so she refunded the 90p!

The internet and phone signal has been really dodgy on the boat so if I don't comment that's why!
Thanks for all your comments, stars and faves ;-)

Stay dry, warm and safe.
:-)X
