Because the Lady Loves...
...treacle toffee!
Frank has been standing over that hot stove for ages waiting for it to reach setting point but it's nearly there!
We came back to the house today as Frank's refretted guitar is being delivered tomorrow. We thought we would have to go back to Grange-over-Sands to collect it but the guy is passing through Hellifield tomorrow on his way to Harrogate so that's good.
I hope there won't be loud fireworks tonight as Bella is so scared. We may have to have the radio or TV on really loud to drown them out!
We're in lockdown again now - though it's not as strict as last time as kids are still going to school and we can still go out for walks together and more than once a day. We're all stocked up and prepared. Our lovely neighbour Sarah said if we need anything we just need to ask. :-)
I just hope it has the desired effect. I saw on the news crowds of silly people on the streets in London last night having a last night of drinking - many without masks and not social distancing.
Biden and Trump are still neck and neck though Biden seems to be in the lead...slightly.
I got the lovely Christmas cards I ordered from Spana, the charity that helps donkeys, horses and other working animals around the world. When we were in Morocco a few years ago, it broke my heart to see such animals struggling to carry heavy loads and wearing ill fitting harnesses that rubbed their skin raw. 100% of the profits from the cards go straight to helping these poor animals. (See extra)
That's it for today - stay safe everyone :-)X
