New rug for Lime! In my rush to get him turned out then get Jack ready for the kids lesson I forgot to do the leg straps up at the back. My other rugs don't have leg straps on. When I turned Jack out after their lesson distraught to see Lime was naked! I honestly thought someone had gone in the field and pinched his new rug and did a lot of swearing under my breath as £60 is a lot to spend on something he only got to wear for 30 mins! But luckily I found it in a sodden heap in the corner of the field with all the straps still done up and fortunately still in one piece, albeit turned inside out ! Think it must have blown up over his head and he just stepped out of it! Had to go back to the yard for yet another dry rug.

I had a very fast and slightly out of control hack out on Lime this morning. Don't know what's got into him at the mo! I saw Zoe in the woods and we had a chat for about 10 mins. He was a good boy and stood and allowed that but as soon as we said bye and headed home he was off!! The kids had a good lesson on Jack. Eva did a lot of work without stirrups today. She is learning she can balance without them! She actually has an amazing seat.

It's Jack's 2 yr "gotcha" day tomorrow so me and Eva went to a shop in Ashby where they do horsey pic n mix. Eva was so excited. We also got him a birthday cake! Can't wait to see his eyes light up tomorrow when he gets all those goodies.
