Diary of an Edinburgher

Hill Walk

No freebies this morning on our walk round the block. I should say that we also contribute to the free cycling in the area - we’ve put out a couple of good Ikea cupboards, both gone next day. Mind you, my best freebie is the exercise bike.

I spent the morning reading the Sunday papers and watching Andrew Marr on my iPad. All the stuff about how the writers are not treating the Royal Family with quite such deference of the past. Can’t wait to binge!

Our pal in The Netherlands wanted to try Zoom for the first time - she is using it tomorrow with her class who are learning English. Of course, when we ask each other what we’ve doing, the answer is ‘Nothing much, really’...

Later, we took Archie up the hill, and I drove home and watched a bit of tennis, as the England v Fiji rugby had to be cancelled.

There is something delicious bubbling away in the slow cooker - perhaps as a wee interlude between marathon ‘Crown’ episodes this evening - after a G&T, of course...
