Diary of an Edinburgher

Hill walk

Another sunny day lured us out and up the hill in the morning. Not a breath of wind. T’would have been nice for a picnic, I mentioned, more than once. The others then walked home via the Duck Pond, and I drove home. When I came back to the car - there it was as we left it - driver’s door wide open, unlocked. Oops!

When I came home I listened to the radio while reading the papers - I can do these concurrently, unlike listening to my audiobook, an activity which requires total concentration. I have to catch up on the Sunday papers on Mondays when my Sunday is taken up with multiple rugby matches.

The workmen in the upstairs flat arrived about 5.30pm and started hammering and sawing, though they finished at 7pm. They’re not going to get the job finished by Christmas while working those hours!

Archie’s paw still has a wee lump, but it’s not red and he’s not licking it. It’s been bathed again.  He’s looking for the castle - the wrong way! (Extra)
